"Great comfortable dog friendly hotel in Reading with free Parking. We were given a larger room at no extra cost, when they saw our dog. Nice friendly staff. A little bit of dust round the lights etc, but certainly nothing that would put me off staying again."

"Very convenient for Newbury town centre, train station etc. Comfortable and large room with massive bed. Shower could do with an overhaul and there really needs to be a bath mat to avoid accidents. Breakfast nice but a bit slow even though there were no other diners present. What irked me was being accosted on my second morning to be told in no uncertain terms that I’d left without paying for my coffee at the previous days breakfast. I thought that was quite small and left a bad taste. ...

"I have stayed at The Fleece mutiple times over the years. It is exactly what a non UK resident would expect. A charming, beamed, English Pub with a pretty good restaurant but with the added benefit of being able to walk into town.
