"I stayed one night with my dog and we were so well looked after that I didn’t want to leave! The hotel is really beautiful and the location is perfect. We took the bus from the park and ride and it stopped right outside. The staff were friendly. Our room was gorgeous, with its own private terrace overlooking the Oxford skyline. This hotel is also really welcoming to dogs. There was a bed, bowls and welcome box waiting. I was able to bring the dog to the bar/lounge area to have dinner and drinks....

"My kids and I stayed here for one night as a bit of research now that we’ve moved into the area, so we can see which hotels to suggest to friends. The building is very impressive but it’s a bit too old school for me, and could do to modernise a bit. The bar area is very small and situated near the front door. The food in the restaurant was delicious but the service was a little slow. We switched rooms because the heating wasn’t working properly, but this was all done very quickly and efficiently...

"A lovely hotel in an excellent location. There is ample parking at the hotel and is about a mile walk into town. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which was very useful. Our room, 52, was comfortable and nice and warm. Particularly important as the temperatures dropped quite dramatically overnight. All the staff that we came across were very pleasant and accommodating."

"Stayed a couple of nights in a superior room which was large with comfy bed. Lovely old building so there are stairs and corridors in a random fashion. There is no dining room & we chose to eat out for a cooked breakfast at one of the many local cafes.. It's in a very central location off a main road, so quiet. We got the train to Oxford & it was walkable from the station."

"So wonderful I booked here for location I’m disabled and have stayed before so I new it had a lift unfortunately for me the lift was out of order so I struggled up the stairs to be told we had a family room witch was on the top how ever the manager sorted it all out with know fuss and gave us 2 rooms next to each other they couldn’t of done anything more to make our stay better thank you we will be back he even told us about how his mum decorated the rooms the sinks are amazing "
