"The staff here is amazing, helpful and friendly. The place, while older, has a retro vibe and is super clean and neat. The bedding was the softest, most comfortable I've ever slept in! The hotel is centrally located in the Pearl District, just a block from Powell Book Store and numerous restaurants. The only issue we had was that it was rather noisy, including lots of "old building" sounds as well as traffic and slamming doors. But all in all, we loved it, and it was reasonably priced."

"As soon as we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff who were able to accommodate our early arrival. There is coffee and hot water available at the lobby which was a wonderful treat. Our room was clean, our housekeeper was kind. The hotel is in a quiet area, we didn’t see any transients in the surrounding blocks. It was a short walk to the Powell bookstore and nearby shops. The breakfast was great, a good variety. "
