"Accommodating staff. We hadnt booked for a evening meal, they managed to get us a table despite being very busy on a Saturday evening. Quiet room, no traffic noise. Very comfortable bed. Good stay"

"This is an older property but being so close to the Royal Troon Golf Club, it is a firm favorite with visiting golfers. I love the staff. The SB Hotel has hired local people over the last 70 years I have visited."

"Enjoyed our two night stay staff were very helpful and professional very good breckfast, but disappointing that the restaurant was closed apparently permantly for evening meals meaning a drive or very long walk in to Dunoon. "

"Decor, facilities and the check in process was excellent. Bathroom was too small for my liking. Can’t give an assessment on the staff as I never met them. Calls into question the focus of some aspects of the questionnaire if the only contact was a remote online process. "

"It’s a charming older hotel with a lot of character. Rooms are quiet, clean & tidy. Stayed for a week & was extremely comfortable. Used their restaurant for all the breakfasts and sometimes their lunch or dinner menu’s too. There were a variety of options on the menu, good value and very satisfying."
