"Second time staying here. Good value for money, aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Beds and pillows comfortable, nice and warm in the rooms and hotel itself Rooms could do with a freshen up with paint and small maintenance to windows and walls. Remote control filthy, batteries flat. Tea and coffee facility which is good. Shower pressure average but overall good value, fairly clean, good breakfast variety Would definitely come back "

The cooked buffet selection was barely warm, such a shame with so much choice on offer. We arrived about 7:50am and breakfast was available until 9:30am. If stating hot food provided, it should be hot."

"Lovely clean room and it was huge! Had everything we needed for.our stay. Building felt safe and was in a really convenient spot on the high street. Even though it was a saturday night, the noise was not an issue. Only criticism is that the room was really really warm! It was snowing outside but the room was still too warm, id be a little worried about staying in the warmer weather as ive noticed from other reviews that this is a problem all year round."

There are pleasant communal areas, yet there is no bar or restaurant; the only food and drink available is from vending machines. The rooms are very compact, yet are spotlessly clean, well maintained and a pleasant place to be, however, there is no space for a chair or desk. I booked a room with a window, yet, my room had only a window with obscured glass so I might as well had reserved a room...

Minor gripes were that the reception staff were not always there and the extra key ‘card machine’ was not especially simple. "Check in was superb! Really lovey staff member, nothing too much trouble at all. Asked for a ground floor room due to a damaged knee and they had no problem with this. Gorgeous room, as usual. Massive bed (two singles popped together) and very clean. Well done, Housekeeping. Extra tea, coffee, milk etc in the lobby if you require. Bed was so comfy, bathroom very clean. I had a wet room and it was lovely. I stay at this particular Marston regularly - indeed I'm back there for a couple of days...
