"Good location, set in its own grounds. 24hr manned reception with friendly staff. Smart clean communal areas. Room was very warm, bed comfortable. Only issue was in the bathroom, behind taps was covered in mildew / mould which I was able to wipe some off so feel this is a cleaning issue rather than general wear and tear. "Great stay, we were visiting family in Ayr and needed a dog friendly place to stay. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean with no skimping on the teas/coffees/milks! "The hotel does not look very appealing from the outside (barely recognisable as a hotel) and the lack of reception and breakfast in your room is a bit odd. That said, my room was as per the photos, airy, clean and comfortable. The manager was helpful and the breakfast in the room was perfectly fine. It was all ok for me for a few nights on a work trip, but not what I would call a leisure hotel. "
