"If you are arriving/departing by train (Lucca) this is an excellent location as Hotel Rex is a couple of minutes walk away. The hotel is also very close to the city's renaissance walls. The hotel has whimsical decorations, a place for children to play, and a good breakfast. A table outside of our room had biscuits on it. I'm pretty sure other rooms had the same treat. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Outside the property was road construction, but it was not noisy. "

"This was a beautiful property situated between Pisa and Lucca. It’s an older hotel but all of the amenities including air conditioning were good. Amazing pool area and loungers and you can run down to the lobby to get drinks and other snacks. We had a family room which had an upstairs with a king bed and downstairs there were two twin beds for the kids. Lots of good food options near by. "The overall experience was very pleasant, a lovely place to stay and surrounding area was nice with places to eat and a little supermarket 1 minute away. The only thing initially was when checking in there was only a woman that spoke Italian so was a bit confusing for me but she still gave me the key for the room etc...a little afterwards another woman was there that could speak English and the payment was sorted out. This wasn't a big deal to me but could be for others. Would definitely stay...
