"The booking through Hotels.com was really simple. The price I paid was great and it was much cheaper than that advertised for the same room on bookings.com We had a family room, which had two rooms joining so the privacy between adults and children was excellent. The children had a single bed each (we have a 13 year old and a 6 ysar old). We had a bathroom with toilet and shower. It was very quiet in our room and you could barely hear the comings and goings of other guests or street traffic....

The rooms are large and oddly shaped as you would expect for an old building. Warm and comfy bed with plenty of storage space and large bathroom and shower "

"As a constant traveller, I really prefer these older hotels with their big rooms and spacious bathrooms. Lovely staff, from reception to the restaurant and bar staff. Great home made steak and ale pie for dinner. Room was brightly lit, a big desk for working, lots of sockets and great WiFi. Thank you all."

"We were very surprised at the overall excellent level of our stay. We were greeted warmly by the owner who was very friendly and informative. Our room was spacious, shower and bathroom enormous and all was spotless. The bed was very comfortable and a choice of sizes of pillows. Bright and light room with lovely view. Wonderfully peaceful land quiet. The dining room and sitting room was cosy but modern and again spotlessly clean. Breakfast was perfect, cooked by owners daughter who was also...
