"The room was fine for a 1 night stay. A little dated and tired. Friendly staff We paid for parking and then on going inside they said they had their own spaces on the same carpark that were free. Could do with this information before you get there and park up and pay! "

"Friendly staff and room was decent, gym was ok for a hotel gym. Nothing much around hotel so have to work 20 mins plus. Tiny things let them down slightly., 2 long hairs in the shower, crack in the join between wardrobes and ceiling. They were having work done in hotel on restaurant but felt like it didnt impact on me at all. Pleasant stay. Will definitely go back"

"Great pub and accommodation. Rooms were clean, bed was comfy, shower was powerful and hot. Food in the pub/restaurant was top quality and reasonably priced. If I lived local The George at Backwell would be a regular visit. Staff at check in and in the bar were helpful, polite and informative. 5 Star stay."

"Lovely little place to stay near longleat zoo , will advise to stay at the side of the pub as they have a garage on other side of the road , very bright lights and they come through the blinds. otherwise all good breakfast was good "

"From the moment we entered Friendliness was the Name of the Game! Tasha showed us to our room and told us everything we needed to know. The room was nice, large, well renovated, bed was very comfortable. We went to eat in the dining room for our evening meal which was delicious. I had the Hanger Steak which was cooked to perfection, my husband had fish and chips which was great too. Breakfast was included and what a choice we had. "Everything about our stay was fabulous and Crossways Inn is now on our radar when we want to spend extra time on our holiday in Cornwall. The food deserves a mention, delicous, locally sourced produce perfectly cooked - both dinner and breakfast. The room, bed, shower, air con, decent size coffee cups all made our stay extremely comfortable. This was the best stopover experience we have had - thoroughly recommend!"

"All of the above plus convenient parking. Lovely pub garden and also seating space by the river opposite the front. Lovely village. Felt the worn mattress should be replaced. A weird dip in the floor and some plusher carpet. A bigger TV would make viewing from the bed easier. Nice bathroom that looks recent."
