Parking garage attached to the hotel as an alternative to the $60 valet was perfect since we didn't need our car (no in/out access). $10/food credit per day was usable at both the bar and cafe was nice, too. "We liked very much the free shuttle to and from Charlston downtown. The drivers were very polite and friendly and very knowledgable about the town. For this kind of property we would have liked a more consistently warm and engaging Front desk staff. Unfortunately we were unable to use the outdoor amenities because of the weather, but they look fantastic. The resort fee per person is rather steep for this time of year."

"We liked the location - easy walk to everything downtown in the historic district. We liked that it is a historic hotel. We disliked the view of a wall from our room and that they did not serve decaf coffee in the morning - only in the evening so we had to purchase it. The site also did not publish that parking is valet only or you’re on your own to park somewhere else. "

"We stayed here for a quick trip to the area. The staff was great and the hotel itself was great. The pool was open and clean, it was way to cold to use but it was nice they still take care of it in the off season. The only draw backs are the parking lot could be a little more clean and the views aren’t great. If those two things don’t bother you (they didn’t bother me), I’d recommend staying here if you’re in the area."

"Very nice property right on the harbor close to all the restaurants and attractions of downtown Charleston. There is a public park just to the outside of the hotel toward the harbor where people can get a little loud in the evening. I realized on our last night there is what appears to be a white noise machine in the room. Honestly, the noise was not much of an issue. The room itself was large and comfortable, breakfast served in the room is a treat, and the staff is amazing. We will be back!"

"Very nice hotel. Hotel and rooms were very clean. Rooms were spacious and comfy. Lobby was nice as well as the lobby bar. They have a Starbucks at the bar which is cool. The bartender was nice and attentive. Gwen at the front desk went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. She checked us into our room as early as possible without any hassle. She was extremely helpful. I'd definitely stay at this hotel again! "
