"It's the best place to stay if you appreciate the silence and you're looking for a quiet place because is far from the town and very close to Puna Pau and that makes that at night you can see the stars so clearly. The staff is so kind and makes your stance there so enjoyful. The taste of the breakfast is fresh, natural and so delicious and also the proportion is enough. The room is so big for one person and perfect, in my perception, for two persons. A great experience for sure, if I come back...

"Wonderful experience - fantastic staff and service at this “oasis” - the restaurant was wonderful, the pool was refreshing after each day of touring, the staff helped arrange our extra tours and even arranged a rental car for us. Only downside - roosters wake you up early! About 5:15 each morning!"

"I really wish I could give this hotel a good review, but it’s more of a caution. First, the good: The hotel is within 10mins walk to the main restaurant areas, we always felt safe, and the room was clean when we arrived.The pool area and grounds were picturesque and seemed to be well taken care of. "Tatiana goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is great! There is no internet currently and only a communal television and kitchen. Although a no frills accommodation, Cabañas Makupuna makes up for it in quiet, peace, and tranquility. I most definitely would stay here again!!!!! "

"It's the best place to stay if you appreciate the silence and you're looking for a quiet place because is far from the town and very close to Puna Pau and that makes that at night you can see the stars so clearly. "Had a wonderful experience at this cute little hotel. Staff was so warm and friendly, accommodations were so cute, clean, bright and best the AC was very cold. Breakfast was lovely each morning. Fun fact, we weren’t able to book our entire stay at this hotel, so we chose to ‘splurge’ on one of the fancy expensive hotels for our last night. Absolute waste of money. So if you’re wondering if this place is nice enough, trust me it beats the $1000 per night hotel. "

"We loved our week at Cabanas Henua Iti. Tiare, her family and staff are friendly, helpful and kind. The location is on the outskirts of town, but it's possible to walk down the hill and Tiare is there to help arrange a taxi if needed. Lots of things within hiking distance - for reasonably active people. We had booked some guided tours and we also rented a car from Tiare for a couple of days to explore on our own. Their rental cars are easily accessible and a good price. The breakfast included in our stay was delicious and we used the kitchen in our cabana as well. The place has a rustic feel and we enjoyed relaxing on the porch. Rapa Nui is a spectacular destination and the island is very safe and friendly."
