"I loved this hotel!! It was 5 minutes away from the center of town, clean, modern, had a pullout couch and a table for three and a nice balcony. There are fridges in the rooms as well as coffeemaker and safe. I don’t understand the negative reviews. It was a nice basic facility that doesn’t pretend that it’s some luxury hotel. The room and bathrooms are large. There are even hot tubs you can use. Check in was easy via email. Best value for Iceland"

"This is a gorgeous spot to stay. I loved the the hot tub, and our room was quite comfortable. There was limited options for dinner for us, as the vegetarian option wasn't available, but they were great to make something up for us. Would recommend this place. "

"Lovely quiet hotel with a welcoming and helpful host. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable room with a great hot shower. The view across the fjord to Akureyri is stunning but beware driving at night or in bad weather as the road to the hotel is narrow, winding and unlit and as the hotel only serves breakfast you need to get into Akureyri for an evening meal. "

"We had a good stay at the hostel. It is a family (father and daughter) run hostel. Both were super friendly and had great tips and recommendations. They helped us to decide on best day and time for a whale watching tour and also arranged the booking for us. Kitchen was big and very clean. Just one information: only salt and sugar was available (no oil, pepper, etc) because they pay very big attention to keeping the kitchen clean and that no groceries from leaving people are still there.
