"This is an excellent hotel within the old, walled city in Evora. It has great, quiet places to relax off the lobby and in the private outdoor courtyard. Our room was spacious with a king bed, sitting area and private outdoor terrace. The breakfast was terrific with options for pancakes, bacon and eggs any style in addition to continental options. "Amazingly beautiful hotel and spa! Front desk reception were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast selections were anything from cereal, yogurt to freshly made omelettes. Breakfast staff were also very friendly and accommodating. The marble throughout the building was gorgeous and opulent. We did not make use of the spa area at all, but it looked first rate. "We stayed for 7 nights at the beginning of February and had a wonderful time exploring this part of the Alentejo. Luis was very welcoming and suggested places for us to see and things to do - nothing was too much trouble for him. Casa da Comadre is small but very well equipped, warm and comfortable - it had everything we needed, including wifi. Oh, and the eggs and oranges that Luis gave us were wonderful! Obrigado Luis!"
