"The hotel is one of the only ones in the area so because of this I believe they don't care as much to take better care of it because travelers don't have very many options. The staff is usually friendly and very helpful. The breakfast needs to be upgraded to more of a fresh meal with options such as eggs, sausage, bacon, oatmeal, etc. "

"The price was great, proximity to Hillsdale was perfect. I did notice the bathroom door is too tight to close, and there was no shampoo in the dispenser in the shower. But linens were clean, the TV worked well, bed was comfortable, and the furnishings were nice. "

LAKE FRONT COTTAGE ON IYOPAWA ISLAND GOLF COURSE

"Despite the lake community having many houses near each other, this cottage felt very private. Kitty, the owner, is great and communicates well. While it was just the two of us, there was bedding upstairs for an additional 4 people. The electric fire insert was nice and warm. Puzzles and two tables to work on them. Not far from town (15-20 min. to Coldwater, MI) or 15 min. Or less to Angola and Pokagon where we hit the tabogan run. Fun fact: it was snowy and cold while we were there but the view at sunset over the lake and listening to the lake freeze, pop, and "talk" were very satisfying."
