"Stayed in a double room for two nights as part of a bigger Europe backpacking trip, and it had everything we needed. Room and bathroom were spacious. Everything was clean. Somewhat of a view of Vondelpark. It’s not particularly near a bus stop but Amsterdam is walkable anyway. You do have to go down this weird and long alley to get to the entrance or go through Vondelpark. There isn’t AC but we learned that that’s normal for Europe. Didn’t get to try the breakfast or bar on the lobby floor....

"The staff were lovely. The area of the hostel is very close to everything, falling on the outskirts of the red light district. The room is very basic but that worked well for us! "

"We were nervous arriving at this hotel as some reviews were horrific! We were delighted to find that the room and en-suite bathroom were absolutely spotless. Yes, the stairs are a bit grubby and *very* steep but so were every other stairs we came across in Amsterdam. Yes, the beds are probably narrower and closer together than some other hotels, but they were absolutely clean and combined with the fantastic location we were delighted at this find. Absolutely recommend it from our experience. ...

"I did not like the fact that the page states there is parking available, but the reality is that there isn't. I was counting on that. Also, there is not much to do in the area. The only good thing is that from there, it is easy to move with public transport and reach places that have more going on. The hostel was clean and the people there were nice and friendly. "

"Unfortunately due to the restaurant next door the whole room smelt of curry including our sheets. The bathroom was mouldy and felt unclean. The bed was really comfortable When we walk our room a rat was in the room next to us which freaked us out and ruined our last night "
