"House was great for family holiday with lots of space and spectacular views. Good location for visiting Skye and surrounding areas. Kids loved the table tennis. Well equipped in some aspects but kitchen could have done with a bit of a deep clean."

"We had a lovely stay in Kyle at this Vrbo. Good place to be to get to the Isle of Skye. Host was very pleasant. We walked all over town and to the bridge. We only stayed 2 nights. Next time I’d like to stay at least 3."

"This was our best stay on our whole trip to Scotland. While, it was a little off the beaten path, it provided a quiet, cosy oasis after we had been staying in towns in lodges without parking for our car. Achmore had ample parking on site. "A great place to stay, just far enough away from Sky to be away from the busy tourist stuff but close enough to spend the day on the island. If you like hiking there are amazing trails right next to the cabin along a river that has some waterfalls. Great mattresses, towels, water pressure, etc. But really it's the incredible views from every single window (green rolling hills dotted with white sheep and the ocean out in the distance) and being along the path to Brother's Point that makes this place so special. The interior is much nicer although it is in need of investment and updating, such as double glazed windows and modern internal doors. Very nice hotel

"Hotel was really nice we booked last minute and the views near by are amazing Gent on reception/bar/kitchen was really polite and helpful as he was there on his own because of holiday season Internet was down due to a bad storm that made the stay more remote as civilisation and home comforts were almost 1.5 hours away Don’t let that put you off when fully staffed and WiFi working I can only imagine the stay would be even better"

The welcome was fantastic

"We have travelled and stayed in too many hotels to count. There have so far been 2 that have stood out in our minds as giving excellent service. The Loch Maree has jumped to number one. Duncan who welcomed us, was fantastic. He surpassed any previous number ones! He could not do enough to help and make sure that we were comfortable and had all that we needed. When the Callan, came back from his holiday, he again was lovely, helpful and kind, but Duncan had already taken the top spot. The food was very good. We noticed that some people complained about the lack of choice. It is the end of the season and hotels are closing down, so naturally the choice will be a bit less. Each night there was a couple of different choices, from the night before. Had absolutely no complaint about the food, presentation and flavours."
