"This was my fifth stay at the Buttery. Its location is superb. I always prefer a room at the back, as Broad Street during term time can be a bit noisy at night, but this time my room was blissfully quiet even though there was a Christmas Fair going on outside in the front. The room/bed/bathroom were all wonderful and well equipped as usual. Staff are fabulous -- extremely helpful and kind. "I have stayed here with my husband a few times and it has always been convenient, clean and offering everything needed at a budget price. However this time I was on my own and got a single room. The room was very small, not a problem as I was just sleeping there and it was clean, but the mattress was hard and lumpy and i didnt sleep well. There was no hairdryer in the room and there was no way of accessing one early in the morning so overall I was disappointed especially as I have used here...

"As advertised, inexpensive and functional. The host was accommodating and the location is good, on Cowley Road, with a bus stop right across the street. The house is not new or recently refurbished and the furnishings are haphasard, but wvebrything was clean and functional. A good place to stay on a budget."

"The purpose of our stay was for my elderly parents to have a small break and I chose this property as being suitable for their needs. Our expectations were definitely fulfilled. It is beautiful property in a pretty setting. Highlights for us was that being all on one level was easy for my elderly parents. Access to the pool was easy, the pool was lovely and warm and nice to have to ourselves. The full size snooker table was an added bonus and the snooker player amongst us made full use of it!...
