"The hotel is in a great location next to square, restaurants and shops. If you get a room facing the courtyard or Sketchers it can be a bit noisy on the weekends but it usually stops 11pm. The rooms are beautiful. The family suite is nice because it has a separate door and the futon folds out like abed. Perfect for kids."

"The location of Pousada Alfama is excellent, as are the views from the rooms on the ocean side. But the rooms are tiny, the beds too narrow for two people, and the bathrooms the size of a postage stamp. "
