"Comfy stay, the hotel is in a convenient location and well furnished. I asked beforehand for a late checkout as was told to phone reception at 7am on the day (not very convenient if the reason you need a late checkout is to sleep!) "The best thing about this hotel is the location. It’s just off Dam Square and a stones throw from the Damrak. Amsterdam Centraal is right there as well. The area does get busy because of foot traffic but that was acceptable to us. The staff onsite were extremely helpful and friendly and there’s coffee and pastry available all day long. They checked us in early and on the day of our departure they held on to our luggage for us after checkout allowing us to roam around the city unencumbered....

"Affordable and convenient for city center. Train from airport easy. Do note there was construction (Dec 2024) so walking direction were something's not quite doable. Nice European breakfast with 24 hr coffee/tea station. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Older bldg but well maintained. It has charm and character as you would expect from an older building - if you are looking for double glazing and a more 'modern' hotel, then this is not for you.
