It has the most spectacular views over the sea, it is very well appointed and was lovely and cosy in the chilly November days. It is ideally located for coastal walking and is a perfect little retreat to come back to and relax. Anstruther and delicious fish and chips are a short walk along the road. "We had 4 people staying on the first night. Everyone was very comfortable but the loft space did allow sound to travel from downstairs. We enjoyed the patio and beautiful views of the forth. We cooked a meal on the third day and made full use of the well appointed kitchen. The only issue we had was the lack of toilet brush and that we couldn't get the washing machine to drain. The host's solution to this (send more towels) would not have been practical on a longer stay. Very pleasant...

Shame about the lack of light

"Room was very clean and well presented, what let it down was the lacked proper lighting. The bed nearest the window the only availed light once dark was the very small reading lamp attached to the bed or a very small desk lamp by the TV. Which meant if dropped anything and it rolled into the shadows it was near impossible to find (bring a torch). If you needed to find something in the corner or small pockets of a case, coat etc then that had to be physically move it over to the door where there was full lighting. The electric heater was also not powerful enough to heat the room properly. "
