70th birthday
This is probably the very best holiday accommodation i have ever stayed in. It was clean, spacious and the kitchen was superbly well equipped. The grounds are extensive, wirh beautiful views. We were here in late spring when rhe blossom and birdsong are amazing. We had an age range of 9 to 70 and everybody was happy. The games room got a lot of use! The hosts were pleasant and gracious. A very very big thank you to our hosts. Worth every penny!,

Lovely break in a tranquil setting
We booked the farmhouse for Easter weekend and to celebrate our mums 84th birthday. Everything was spotlessly clean when we arrived and the house was lovely and warm We had a wonderful weekend relaxing and going to the beaches nearby Highly recommend The Pymore Inn for food where we all went for mums birthday lunch The games room at the farmhouse was particularly popular with the teenagers who had a pool tournament Thank you for a memorable stay!

Perfect for a pre Christmas get together.
We always choose a large house catering for 12 for a family get together. We have a Christmas dinner for which the kitchen was great and the lounge was one of the best we have stayed in for size and comfort. The house was lovely and warm and the beds were very comfortable. It is very rural but only a short drive to take a walk along the coastal path and the rest of the time we spent chilling out ...

Absolutely perfect for our special family celebrations getaway with the dogs too. Spacious and so well equipped - we cooked breakfasts and dinners for 12 most days and could enjoy the food around the lovely big table all together. Beautiful walking straight off the farms and short drive to our favourite hills. Comfortable beds and plenty of storage. Adrian made us feel so welcome and we quickly made the farmhouse our home. Hopefully, we will return again for future family celebrations.

Family holiday
We had a lovely week staying in the Farmhouse, which was a perfect size for our family get together of 11 people - ages ranging from 16 months to 70 - plus 2 dogs. The property was very comfortable with a very well-equipped kitchen and a large comfy lounge, and bedrooms. The outside area was great with stunning views from the bbq area, plus enough space for outdoor games and lots of choice of various dog walks from the house. The hosts were lovely and very welcoming with good communication beforehand. We would definitely return to the Farmhouse in the future as everyone had such a relaxing time there.

Could have been better.
If you are looking for a spacious six bedroom farmhouse in an idyllic place, and allowing dogs, then look no further. However, the accommodation is a little tired and dated in many places, and needs modernising. Having paid close to £3k for a week there, we did expect a little better. True, it is spacious, the kitchen is well supplied, with a dishwasher and large fridge freezer. The spacious lounge was overlooked by a little used storage conservatory, with cobwebs in places. The settees had not been moved for some time, as we saw when looking for lost items. The level of cleanliness throughout could have been a little better. There is a communal laundry room with two washing machines, and a single dryer; the surfaces were again dusty. Next door, a playroom, with a billiards table, table football, and a supply of books and DVDs. The main bedroom had a tiny en-suite bathroom; we had a problem with the toilet flush which took a few days to be repaired, only to fail again, and later repaired for a second time. Bedroom two again, had a tiny bathroom. The third and fourth bedrooms were of reasonable size, and bedroom 5 and 6 were in the attic, with beams limiting heights in places. Lovely grounds in a very quiet rural area, with a lovely private BBQ area, with a gas appliance. Horses, pheasants and rabbits add to the ambience. Wi-fi was very good downstairs. It is 2.2miles from the outskirts of Bridport, along single track country lanes, which are frequently in use.

Absolutely beautiful location. The views are breathtaking. The property is traditional and very well maintained . With six spacious bedrooms, the lounge is spotless and very cosy. The kitchen is enormous with two huge tables perfect for a large group. The bathroom and toilet facilities are good too. The added bonus was the games room where there’s a full size pool table, books, games and table football. Our family spent some quality time in there mainly playing pool. I highly recommend this property and Adrian and Sue are very kind and helpful. Stunning is probably an understatement of this beautiful property and it’s location. Local pub only a short drive away serves delicious food and also does takeaway. Lyme Regis and Charmouth are a pleasant 35 minute drive away 👌

Perfect early family Christmas
Had a great time staying at the Farmhouse, the owner pop in to say hello and answered any questions we had. Nothing was too much trouble and they shared their opinion of the local takeaway, it was great by the way and they even delivered. We enjoyed playing pool in the games room. The kitchen had just about everything we needed, large freezer was brilliant as we brought food for a large Christmas Lunch on the saturday. Thank you for a great stay and the firelighters !! Huge house so plenty of room for our party of 12. Thank you also for decorating the house with Christmas Decs !!

Fabulous Farmhouse
We were a group of ages ranging from 9 to 70 and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, so much so my granddaughters didn’t want to leave. They loved feeding the horses & playing pool in the games room. Everything you could possibly need was in the farmhouse & we enjoyed returning there after a day out exploring Dorset. We would certainly return

Wow, my family and I are so glad we chose this place. So much space, such a beautiful area and a very welcoming host. All of the rooms were well decorated with comfy beds. Well maintained gardens and lots of space for the youngsters to try and use up their endless amounts of energy. Kitchen is very well equipped, as we were there for a wedding nearby, we did not need to use much of the kitchen apart from breakfasts but it did the job. The lounge has 3 big sofas and plenty of space to accommodate everybody. The roads to get to it are cosy to say the least but that cannot be held against the farmhouse, if you want an idyllic rural place to stay and want somewhere quiet, you don't want busy roads nearby. If we are staying in the area again, we will definitely check to see if this place is available, as it was perfect for our needs.

Great cottage for family get together
We had a fantastic long weekend at the Farmhouse. It was an ideal base for several families to get together, comfortable rooms and plenty of space for all nine of us to relax in the lounge. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and it was easy to cook for a large group. The area was beautiful and it was easy to travel to Lyme Regis and West Bay. Lovely local pub about 40 minute walk away. Would highly recommend Lancombes House.
