I've visited and stayed in Bristol many times and it never disappoints. So much to see. Massive amounts of dining options. Plenty of decent pubs, micro breweries etc. Always something going on. Theatre, music and the like. My favourite city.

Bristol has a reputation as having great dining but it also has lots of cultural activities and historic buildings that span millennia. Be prepared - many of the streets are steep and/or cobbled but walking is the best way to see it all.

People often head up to Clifton and the more affluent areas of Bristol - which are beautiful - but we spent the weekend walking around the dock areas...and that was fabulous. Very buzzy, with great bars and restaurants.

Love Bristol more than Bath. A lot of shopping and dining choices. There is a nice mixture of news and olds and the city is full of college students and Bristol became lively during the weekends

Don't miss the SS Great Britain, Underfall Boat Yard, M-Shed and the Cargo area (and, if you like street-art, do try the Blackbeard to Banksy walking tour - Luke is so informative!)

Lots to do, great architecture and Banksy artwork. Killer Trails was excellent yet again and Dr Who Escape Room fabulous. Avoid Wake the Tiger if you are over 10.

We can highly recommend a walk over Clifton Suspension Bridge followed by a visit to the Visitor Centre where there is so much to discover about the bridge.
