"I like the fact that unlike the other large resorts on the island there is room on the beach, under a shady palapa you can reserve (for around $50/day). Other resorts like Marriott have beach lounge chairs all right next to each other. Will this change with the new Hilton building going up on the property and turn the beach into a crowded space ? Hope not. "

"We had a few hiccups with our stay at Renaissance wind creek resort in Aruba, room wasn’t ready when we arrived. Hotel gave us a small credit. Room we booked wasn’t the room we got which the hotel changed our room. Had an issue with the fire alarm going off two nights and hotel gave us points to compensate. Despite those small hiccups, we loved this resort. The best part is Renaissance island. We absolutely loved that island. The water was beautiful, we went snorkeling, laid on beach floats and had no issues getting lounge chairs or umbrella spots on either side of the island. The flamingos were stunning and so many iguanas. The food at the hotel was good. The drinks were fine. We did not go for the all inclusive as we had excursions planned so we didn’t want to waste money if we weren’t there to use it. We definitely will return here. We loved Aruba. Everyone we met was very nice. It truly is one happy island. I understand now why so many people come back so many times."
