"The house is a beautifully redone schist structure in the center of Talasnal. All the comforts of home; nicely stocked kitchen, great fireplace (heated the whole house), comfortable beds, and nice hot showers. Great hikes just walking out the front door…although we did get lost the first day. Haha. Both Joao and Alda were super responsive and so helpful. Even offering to pick us up in Candal after our very long misplaced hike. Definitely purchase any supplies before arriving as the tiny Mercado...

"Casa Belavista is a wonderful property. It has everything. Inside it’s spacious, very well presented and well equipped. Outside it has a lovely large pool, and a large and beautifully maintained garden with a beautiful vista. It’s so quiet and peaceful and a great place to escape and unwind, but accessible to many places such as Coimbra, Lousã and the stunning hill villages of that region. "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the home of Jos! The house was located close to cafe's and attractions in Penela. The house is very well stocked with utensils, small appliances and anything you could need to feel at home. The house was clean and the back yard area was pleasant to sit out and view the mountain. The house was more than affordable! Jos even checked on us twice to make sure everything was ok. Thank you for letting us stay."

"We stayed in a two bedroom apartment on the second floor. Really lovely property, very tastefully decorated, and had all the amenities we needed for our short stay, including a washing machine for laundry. There is no front desk and so you will have to check-in at the Hotel Oslo. But the staff there were incredibly kind and gave us several route options to get to the property, considering the luggage and walking abilities of our party. We did not drive so I cannot comment on parking, but the staff at Hotel Oslo mentioned that it was available. The property was tricky to find at first, but once we got our bearings, it really was in the most ideal location, a short walk away from the main shopping street. Note that there is no elevator. Even going to the second floor with our suitcases was challenging but we managed. Good luck to those who are in higher floors! Staff also stopped by to give us a welcome snack, in the form of a local bread. Thank you Entre Ruas, for being our home in Coimbra."

"This is an excellently located property, So perfect for a visit to the Coimbra University which is just up the very steep street. We loved this historical hotel. All check in is done virtually so please, read the instructions they send you before arrival all the information is there and it is simple and accurate. They give you a code both for the front door and for your room. The room looked onto the beatiful main street, and walking around town was very easy. climbing to the University can be challenging but so worth it and the center of town is just steps from the hotel. Take advantage of the one-hour city tour 'train' that starts on the center square of the University."
