"Fantastic decor and all the staff were super friendly and welcoming. Really nice atmosphere in the cocktail bar over the weekend, could have done with an additional staff member as cocktails can take a while to make and if you just want a beer or glass of wine, then its a little wait, however lovely surroundings to wait in. Everything you may like to do in Canterbury is within easy walking distance and some lovely restaurants right on your doorstep. Parking is an additional cost, I hadn't really noticed this when booking, also the fact that if you go out in the car, you may not have a space to come back to even though you have paid for 24hours. We just managed to get the last space in the little back car park on the second evening, but it's a very tight entrance which some vehicles may struggle to use. Would definitely recommend the hotel to others, it was just unfortunate we needed to use the car for work so there felt a little jeopardy as to whether we would get parked when we got back."

"Stayed at Woodland lodge with kids. Quiet and well maintained building. Kitchen stuffs could be a little bit better. Frypan is a little small for the family of 4. Breakfast, swimming pool all good"

"Last minute stay and found this absolutely lovely establishment with helpful staff, clean room, wonderful breakfast, and great bit of history in the heart of Canterbury .. perfect for enjoying the shops, restaurants, public square, and of course, the amazing Cathedral. "

"The hotel is very nice and within 5 minutes walk of the centre. Sanjeewa was very nice. The continental breakfasts was good, plenty of breads, crumpets, cheese, ham and salami, etc. The only bit of problem for us was that the room we were in, on the top floor, the wifi was extremely weak. We have to move around the room to find a connection near the door. Obviously we can't stay at the door all night so had to use our mobile data. Like some other reviews on here says, there's NO onsite parking despite whatever they advertise as. You can park in a car park abouts 8-10 minutes walk way for 15 pounds a day or find some on street parking further out. "
