Cala Canyelles Beach is an isolated strand of grainy, white sand in the eastern region of Lloret de Mar. Its distance from the town center makes it a tranquil oasis, backed by the sound of swaying pine trees. Forget your worries in this serene haven, far from the bright lights of the town, yet still convenient to reach.
Find your family a spot on the sandy beach and set down a blanket for a picnic in this picturesque setting. Enjoy the marvelous views of the cliffs rising from the back of the beach. The thick woodland covers sloped bluffs in the green needles of pine trees.
Go for a swim in the light blue water and bring snorkel gear for a close-up view of the range of aquatic creatures. When you get out, you can flush the sand off your body in the shower and foot washer.
The beach manages to retain its utter serenity, while also providing fun and exciting services. Go waterskiing or kayaking with a tour operator offering services at the bay. Get ice cream and other treats for your kids from several kiosks. Stop for a seafood lunch at one of the restaurants along the back of the beach.
Consider staying at one of the stylish rental apartments, villas and hotels in the area. If you prefer, sleep under the stars in one of the campsites.
Note that lifeguards patrol the beach from morning until early evening from late spring through early fall. Rent a locker to store your belongings safely. Sun umbrellas and hammocks are available to rent too.
Cala Canyelles Beach overlooks the Mediterranean Sea in the southwestern corner of Canyelles. Look around the region for other treasures such as Cala Rajols, the Port de Cala Canyelles and the Castell d’en Plaja. Drive east from the center of Lloret de Mar for about 3 miles (5 kilometers) to reach the beach in roughly 10 minutes.
