On a hot Spanish summer afternoon, find fun and cooling refreshment in the pools and slides of Water World. Located inland near Lloret de Mar, the waterpark offers a thrilling alternative to the beach. Put on a swimsuit, rent a locker and head out onto the rides. Traipse across the 35 acres (140,000 square meters) and try each water ride, all included with the entrance fee.
Get into the action by climbing onto one of Europe’s largest water rides, the Rafting River. Get buffeted to and fro in the wave pool, with waves big and small. Challenge someone to a race on the speed slides, where you and five other people can barrel down side by side. Let kids play on Kiddie Island, featuring a variety of structures and low-intensity waterspouts for younger children. Go as fast as you can down X-Treme Mountain.
Relax on a rented sun lounger and stretch out along Llac Relax, whose calm waters offer relief from the crazy excitement in the rest of the park. Practice swimming in the pools or just take a break in the cool water.
When you’re rested, pay a separate fee to do an aerial dive off a crane at the nearby bungee-jumping installation. Pack lunch or dinner and celebrate the end of the day in the picnic area, shaded by native pine trees.
Located north of Lloret de Mar, Water World is easily accessible from throughout the city. Free shuttle buses run from the Lloret de Mar bus station every 30 minutes. This service is also offered to other resort towns throughout the area. Drive here from Central Lloret de Mar in 5 minutes or walk in 20 minutes. Use the free on-site parking.
