Shore House | Pittenweem

"We were very disappointed on entering the holiday cottage to find that cleaning had not been carried out to the standard we would have expected of a holiday let. There were breadcrumbs in the cutlery drawer, mouse droppings on top of the dishwasher which was also partly full of dirty water, a breadboard were covered in dust fluff. There was, what we believe to be, pizza stuck on the walls of the bathroom and bed sheets had hair on them, the blind in one of the bedrooms would not pull more than...

"Staff were all so friendly, food was fabulous, breakfast included in our room rate was fab and offered until 11 which suited. We had dinner on two nights out of three as we enjoyed it so much. Very
dog
friendly in all areas. Room was a little tired but spotless and the WiFi wasn’t great but won’t stop us returning!"

Cosy, Rural and Ensuite Glamping Cabin.

9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (3)
"Loved the natural pool despite being in it for less than a minute. Sauna opens soon which will be great with that. Greats walks around the estate. POD with warm and fine. Could do with a cooking knife/bread knife. Fire pit wonderful to cook on and sit around. Bed had some grit in so a little uncomfortable but, considering everything else was so clean and tidy that was probably an oddity rather than the norm. Overall loved the place and owners wonderfully accommodating. "

The Inn at Lathones

3.0 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (290)
"Fantastic couple of nights stay with wife and
dog
. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Booked the superior room which is very large with nice bathroom (separate walk-in shower & bath). Patio doors opened onto private deck which was ideal for our
dog
. The only minor issue was the creaking wooden floor in the bedroom beside the door into the bathroom. If you get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom you will inevitably wake up your partner. Had breakfast and evening meals both days...
