Villa Siena is a country house set in 2,900 square meters of land (about 3/4 acres), including a Mediterranean garden, olive grove, and fruit trees. It features its own private 8 x 5.5 m, 1.40 m high swimming pool (open from May to the end of September) and a panoramic terrace with sweeping views of the Adriatic Sea. It is 3 km from Specchiolla beach and about 4 km from the Torre Guaceto nature reserve. It is located in open countryside, but not isolated, just 5 km from the charming town of Carovigno and 12 km from Ostuni. It features a comfortable living and dining room with air conditioning, and three covered verandas overlooking the garden and pool.
The villa has been recently renovated, with new furnishings (sofas, dining table, display cabinet, refrigerator, beds and bedside tables, mattresses and pillows, pool loungers, sofa and terrace armchair, plates, cups, glasses, tablecloths, beach towels, and bed linens). Villa Siena has three bedrooms (3m x 3m), all equipped with air conditioning: one with a double bed, one with a queen-size bed, with a private bathroom with shower, and a bedroom with two single beds. All windows have shutters, mosquito nets, and an alarm system.
Outside, there are two large covered verandas, a private swimming pool, a small trullo, a wood-fired oven for pizza and bread, and a new barbecue. Olive trees, pears, almonds, pomegranates, grapes, figs, prickly pears, and many ornamental plants grow in the garden, in addition to trees, flowers, and shrubs. Guests can pick grapes, figs, and almonds in season for their daily use. Aside from obvious attractions such as the pool and the magnificent beaches of Torre Guaceto, a nature reserve, offers magnificent cities to visit nearby: Lecce and its Baroque architecture, Alberobello and its characteristic trulli, Martina Franca, Locorotondo, Polignano a Mare, and more. Puglia's cuisine is also worth discovering, with its traditional, affordable restaurants. Perfect for outdoor living in the summer, with large covered verandas surrounding the villa, where seating is provided for al fresco dining or simply relaxing.
Relax by the pool in the summer, or sit on the rooftop terrace with a cool drink in the evening, gazing at the blue sea and magnificent sunsets, any time of year. The owners believe this would be a suitable stay for families; please note that the pool area is unsupervised, and parts of the garden are rocky. There is a wall around the rooftop terrace, but children, especially younger ones, need careful supervision.
All accommodations are on one level, but there is a small step up to the terrace surrounding the house. Approximately 4.5 in. (12 cm). The roof terrace is inaccessible to anyone with mobility issues, but the lower verandas have only a small step.
FREE WI-FI AVAILABLE
THE POOL IS OPEN FROM MAY TO THE END OF SEPTEMBER
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
On very hot days, excessive electricity use may occur throughout the area due to the extensive use of air conditioning. This can cause brief power outages. This has happened three times in 2020: once in July and twice in August. The outages lasted a maximum of two hours. We understand this is an inconvenience, but there's nothing we can do about it. This is a widespread problem throughout the area.
The entire area is NOT served by a mains water supply. The water is drawn from a 60-meter-deep artesian well. It's pure water but not drinkable; it's suitable for drinking, but ONLY AFTER BOILING.
