"Perfect location adjacent to trsin and bus stations but, as do often in such cases, the immediate area is shabby and the haunt of prostitutes and other street life. No real danger but hardly ideal..The hotel itself is a grand old palazzo with many beautiful features, especially the interior gardens. It's only a 15 minute walk to the nicer parts of Catania. I'd stay here again."

Location is perfect, just a few steps from Etnea Road which is a very long street with lots of shops and restaurants. Room was clean enough and the bed was comfortable. "We stayed at the hotel Royal for 2 nights in October. The hotel is located just a 10 minute walk from the centre, however it is up quite a steep hill, so if you have a lot of baggage it’s not ideal. The room itself was ok, not as nice as the one shown in pictures but the bed was comfortable. "Great location and excellent staff. Hotel rooms were nice but were obviously ageing, peeling paint and poor quality shower heads. That being said, was still worth staying for a day or so, but would be difficult to stay here for days on end. Otherwise a great experience. "
