"The Room"

"Overall, this stay was great. We arrived early, and the staff allowed us to check in two hours before the normal time. All of the staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The room was large and comfortable. The in-room kitchenette allowed savings on breakfast and lunch, which we didn't need to go out for. The pool is small, but warm (92), and the hot tub was large enough for two couples. Photos suggest this hotel is on the beach. It isn't, but it's only three blocks away. The neighborhood is business and feels safe for walking, even at night. Parking is tight, but we always found a spot. There were two negatives. After checking in and signing an agreement that included the no smoking policy, we entered our room to find that it smelled like someone had just smoked a cigarette inside. The staff cleared it while we were at dinner, but it wasn't a good first impression. Second and more problematic was soft water. I hate it. No matter how little soap I use, it doesn't wash off, and which so little soap it doesn't get me clean. An itchy, oily day is no fun. (Fortunately the ocean is close by.) That's the only thing that may prevent me from returning."

"We loved the roof top pool. We were on side of building facing Neptune park but our view was excellent. Although not ocean "front", frankly we liked our view better to have both ocean, boardwalk and city. Staff are all very nice and helpful. The daily jet flyovers were incredible!!"

"Love this hotel! The rooms are so nice and upgraded. Everything is so clean and the staff was constantly cleaning the floors everywhere. Breakfast was very good. We were close to the pier and ate dinner at the restaurant on the pier Ocean Eddies seafood restaurant was walkable and very delicious. The hotel has a nice parking deck connected to the hotel and we just kept our car there and walked to restaurants and shops. "
