"Hotel and grounds lovely, very peaceful. I booked a table for the 1762 menu and when we sat down to dinner we were told it was not available. I made a huge mistake booking the wrong dates to visit the follies i had even enquired at the hotel but they failed to mention they were not open on the dates i booked. "The venue is in a beautiful historic building. The facilities are great including a pool with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. The rooms had massive comfy beds and were cleaned daily with plenty of towels and extra tea, coffee and biscuits. My only quibble is that the rooms didn’t have internet tvs. "

"The building itself seems old and is full of characters. Room doors are still open using old fashioned key, tiny tv screen like the old days. As I was only staying for 2 nights, there isn't a need for my room to be freshen up, though there isn't anywhere outside the door where you can hang the 'do not disturb' sign. The shower was a bit too tiny with the switch that switch outwards, you can easily switch off the shower by turning or turn up/down the heat."
