"It was a great stay from the start, as the owner Mike had a hockey game on the lobby TV. That's what I like to see! He honored my request for a room away from any possible noise, and he was very informative on where to dine, where to buy gas, and how to get a ticket to an Edmonton Oilers game! The room was very comfortable, and everything worked. The shower had lots of hot water, and the TV showed the Dodgers beat the Yankees. Yay!!! "The service was not what I have experienced in earlier stays. They, somehow, had no knowledge of my Expedia booking for the two rooms but were able to accommodate me. When I went to check out at 8 am I was told that they normally don't open the office till 8:30. While the staff person did accommodate me, it seemed to be an unusual statement for the hotel. The antique decor from previous ownership is still in place, which I appreciated."
