"Property is facing the river and the promenade, which is a nice aspect of the city. The hotel is across the water from the Guggenheim in Bilbao, and the stunning Zubizari bridge is directly outside the hotel. The rooms could be a bit better maintained as noticeable damage to the walls (scuff marks that need painting over) and the wood paneling (suitcases clearly knicked the wood paneling in my room), and the toilet paper holders are installed at 8 degree angle for some reason. "A nice quiet hotel, with a comfortable bed though there was not enough space to walk in the room. As noted by others, there is no tea or coffee making facilities and neither can the heating in the room be adjusted. This is quite inconvenient. The hotel is centrally placed, between the shopping street and the old town and within 15 mins walking from the Guggenheim. "The hotel is well located with many options for transport around and within walking distance to main landmarks. Located next to the old town it has plenty of dining options around. Lovely hotel room, very modern with great amenities. Frienly staff too - strongly recommend! "

Lovely hotel

"Lovely family run hotel, sensitively restored to a high standard in a small residential area just outside Muskiz. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are beautifully furnished. Although it is advertised as having a restaurant, it does not serve evening meals and we were directed to the local town which was very run down and although there were a few bars open, none served food and the restaurants we found were all closed. The factory referred to in other posts is in fact a massive oil refinery supplying 11,000 l oil daily and is a massive blot on the landscape. Though we could not see it from our room, nor does it produce any significant noise or fumes, it is hard to ignore. "
