I’m leaving a 4-star review because, on arrival, I was told that they were not taking food bookings because the kitchen was maxed out due to the Christmas parties that the hotel was hosting. I was told my best bet would be to order takeaway or go into town. For me that’s not acceptable; service should be consistent for paying guests over events being hosted. "

"Stayed in the balcony room, was absolutely fantastic, so spacious and comfortable, had a mini kitchen with microwave and all equipment you could need for a short stay. Excellent location to walk to shops and restaurants. Parking available outside, approx £4 for 2 hours, but from 6pm - 8am it is free, we got up at 8am to put a ticket on just in time before the Traffic Warden arrived so be aware of this. Only issue we had was that you are unable to control the heating in any way. Room was cold...

"Wish we had had the option of reserving king bed beforehand, as we got a room with 2 full beds and would have preferred a king (the friends we were traveling with got a king and a much fancier room, but I had made both reservations). Room was very spacious, but bathroom had 2 lights out which didn’t get fixed for the 2 days we were there (we were told that the maintenance person doesn’t work on the days we were there). No elevator, so lugging our 50-pound bags up and down 3 flights of stairs...
