"We stayed at this hotel because it was close for us to drive to a family funeral. The hotel itself was clean. Carpet in halls, worn but had been vacuumed. Appears to have an updated painting in hall and rooms. Room was clean. Bed comfortable . I would have given 5 for room, but there was an upholstered chair that was tacky and dirty. Needs to be thrown away. Check in was good, he was not overly friendly but efficient. We would stay here again if the need arose. "

"I was traveling in the area to visit family and needed someplace for two nights. The location was perfect. This property combines an interesting historical past (general store built in 1840) and an efficient, comfortable, well thought out home away from home. I recommend it without hesitation!"
