"This is a generally excellent hotel. No more on that need be said. You won't be disappointed. Except that the breakfast tea is terrible. There is just one thing that we noticed on our last day. Breakfast is from 7am, our taxi was a 0730, a fairly typical departure time with either a flight or busy day scheduled. "The room was fabulous.. the staff were attentive and helpful..specially the main holder gentlemen that was managing the reception. The property is away from the happening main street which is good if you wanted to have a good night sleep. "Lovely homestay with such attention to detail in property. Good Sri Lankan breakfast. Quiet area except for some railway noise but not a problem for us. Half hour walk to fort( plenty of tuk-tuks if you want) Helpful & friendly host."

"The location is awesome. The rooms are well designed and at a high quality standard (e.g. marble tiles in the bathroom. Bidet..) Bungalow with sea view - unbeatable. The location is not directly at the beach, but at an elevated location inside a forest area. So the view is incredible and super quiet. No street noise or smoke. "We stayed for 2 nights, and we both thought that the food and the public areas were amazing. We also booked the yoga classes which were great. The bungalows are very cool, they are open, so you get a pretty unique experience. The beds are a bit on the hard side, this should be improved."

"Let's just say, I will definitely return. Clean, design like, minimal hotel. Private access to one of the best beaches in the South. Staff are friendly and the place feels homely. Easy access to local beach bars, restaurants, the train station, etc. Walk, tuk tuk, book a car via the hotel. "Overall a really nice, comfortable place to stay. Wait staff, Marlin, and exec chef were friendly and enjoyed our conversations! Breakfast was good, dinner was good, grounds and pool area very well kept. The superior room was spacious, clean, and loved our balcony. Stayed for 2 nights, ate our meals there, lounged poolside for the day, and just had a fantastic leisurely time, which is all we had on our itinerary for Weligama! Would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again!"

"Its an old building refurbished into a modern, sleek hotel. Conveniently located within the ramparts of the Galle Fort, its super comfortable, with luxury shower products and impeccable service. Loved the breakfast!! They managed to go out of their way to get my laundry done on time for our train!! 10/10 will stay here again!"

"PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE. The most awful hotel experience I’ve ever had. 1. There are over 150 very steep steps to climb every time you want to go in and out of the hotel. They are not lit and extremely dangerous 2. Our room did not get cleaned until 6 or 7pm and we had to chase three times 3. Hot water runs out frequently 4. Food is below average 5. So many staff everywhere and very little service Nothing about this hotel is 5* it’s an awful experience, don’t put yourself through it "
