Could’ve used blinds behind the curtains, as room was facing a road/parking lot (we had our curtains closed all the time, which made the room very dark). "We had a perfectly good stay at the Dog and Partridge, but the accommodation didn’t transpire to be what we expect. We were anticipating a cozy room, in a country pub setting but, in reality, the D&P offers good value, chalet-style family rooms, each with it’s own car port, in a large area behind the pub itself. The pub itself has a nice enough bar, and offers fair evening meals, with a home-cooked feel, and a very good continental breakfast selection, or cooked options for just £6 extra. This...

"Good welcome, room was lovely and warm and bedding clean and plenty of pillows and spotlessly clean towels. Nice touch of biscuits and chocolate. Great location and good price. Sadly there were signs of mould around the door and bathroom tiling could do with a more intense cleaning of the grout as orange/yellow build up, plus I shared the bathroom with two very large spiders that were well established as had webs in corners. Having said this, I would use the Wellington again as really convenient...
