"The decor of the whole hotel was very good. We stayed in a racing themed room & the colour scheme and detailing was excellent. The public areas were comfortable and felt welcoming and cosy. The property was clean and the staff were very friendly and informative. The only downside was that there was no parking either on site or close by. "Lovely large room, clean and great value for money in a good location! Only niggle was that it took a long time to check in, we queued for 25/30 mins despite filling in the pre-check in form - would be great to have a quicker option for those who have completed that. "

"The windows in the room overlooked a corrugated roof, not the best view, which is maybe why the outer window panes where filthy as it may have been difficult to clean them. The bathroom sink taps seemed a little loose. "

"Welcomed warmly. Swift check-in. Clean room. Free entry to spa suite which was very welcome in the mornings. Handy location for a walk into city along the canal. Easy to access from motorways. I would recommend and stay here again 100%."

"Lovely hotel, with friendly staff. The man on reception was very helpful and went out of his way to recommend local restaurants in Chester, he even gave me a map of Chester and pinpointed out the location of the different types of restaurants. Thank you. "

"Lovely place, friendly staff and excellent location Unfortunately the wall between rooms was so thin I could hear every moment of my neighbour all night. Also the pillows are terrible- made for a very uncomfortable nights sleep. I appreciate you can’t do anything about the soundproofing in such a lovely old building but the pillows are a very cheep easy fix Would stay again but not whilst working! "
