Fantastic sea views and wonderful large room.

Great old fashioned hotel. We had a newly refurbished room was excellent. The breakfast was great. Pity the lift isn’t working I do think people should be made aware of this and all the building work that is going on. For some elderly people this is a main concern For the two nights we were there we had a great time and were made very welcome

A superb hotel, the views are phenomenal, staff are friendly and approachable. Lots of choice for food, buffet breakfast and an extensive menu for other meals. The room was clean and well stocked.

The hotel was in a great part of Edinburgh making it easy to walk places. We loved how the building fit in with old Edinburgh. The breakfast was delicious. Being able to store our luggage between checkout and when we caught the train gave us an extra half day in town. We definitely recommend to anyone planning a stay in beautiful Edinburgh, Scotland.

it was a great experience in Lansbury-Whitby. The price is resonable for its location is walking distance to the beach and town centre.

Will definitely come again.Friendly and the portion size of the meals was huge. Really good value foe money.

Return visit like the area about 20-25 mins walk downhill to Whitby harbour area. Bus stop by school or Sainsburys minutes away. Bedrooms clean and big for 2 people. Staff very friendly and helpful. Car parking free and if u forgot anything there is a sainsburys fee mins walk away Breakfast has various choices to suit different appetite too and family friendly. Would return again

Definitely different from the soulless norm. Very pleasant greeting from the owners and a lovely served breakfast with some very nice personal touches. A lot of thought had gone into the decor some of which was highly amusing, not least the draped mannikin in the cocktail bar. The cocktails were excellent as well. If you want all modcons of a modern hotel chain then not for you but if you like something unique, personal and quirky then this is for you. Made our road trip down the East Coast very special.
