"Great service, excellent food and the drinks offering was exceptional. Best I've seen in any hotel. Breakfast was decent too. Spa and gym facilities were excellent, loads of equipment. I had an executive room which was the best on offer. It was tired, not particularly clean either. Loads of dust behind the TV and there were stains on the bed runner. "The staff were very friendly and helpful. The fittings and decor are a bit dated but the bed was really comfortable and the linen and towels were lovely. I would suggest getting a room nearer the back of the hotel, we were on the front and it was rather noisy from the pub next door. "we have stayed here regularly but seems to be under new management-didnt expect breakfast to be an extra and room was clean but a bit dingy -headboard had a tear and paint work needed re doing in some areas-plus they did not have all the decorations they used to have which made the place standout-also after we checked in, on late night return to our room car park was full so had to park in residential road nearby-so will probably lookelsewhere now for our repeat visits to family"

"I did not like the fact that there was no parking, and I had to go round looking for places to park which I had to pay as well. Free parking in some areas starts at 6pm, checking in was 2pm. Carrying bags from parking areas to the booked place was difficult, its uphill and it was raining, so it was a bit of a challenge for me.
