"This palace is up on a hill and driving up to it took my breath away. Pitlockry is a quaint little town and Atholl is the "Queen" of the quaintness. The building and grounds are exceptional. Be sure to walk all of the grounds and take in the unique gardens and tree lined trails into town and the backside along the creek. A memorable place to stay! "

"We loved it! It was so classy and regal and elegant. It is an amazing old mansion that has been converted into a hotel and modernized in very tasteful ways. It is on a large beautiful property along the river. On the property they also have the largest clay pigeon shooting range in the country I believe. And they also offer fishing and ATV riding. There's a great restaurant with awesome dinners that also serves the breakfast. They also have a spa and a large pool and a gym and dry and wet saunas. It was such a relaxing place to hang out and a great location with a lot of cute towns and things to do nearby. You can just feel the age of this place when you walk around. Even the trees are big and old. We had such a good time."

"Stayed for 1 night en route to highlands. Easy to find and plenty parking. Room fine, huge bed, clean and tidy. Pillows a bit soft but that’s just preference. Small grassed area at side of hotel for pooch. Pub next door serves food which saved going into town as we arrived a bit later. Bus available into town or a short walk. Breakfast was ample and tasty with plenty of choice. Vegetarian and gluten-free options available. Dog friendly too which was the main reason for us choosing the hotel. Would recommend"
