"Great home for a big family or friends group stay. House is was perfect size for 7 couples with fully furnished living room, dining room and kitchen. Host was excellent with his response times and accommodated all our needs. Location is very central and few nice pubs around the corner. I would recommend The Odd Fellows pub. Wish weather was better and we had another day of stay to enjoy the snooker table and hot tub too and outdoor area. "

Need to put bedside cabinets in all bedrooms. TV aerial needs putting on. Pub next door can be very noisy at night."

"Check in was a disaster. They didn't communicate through email any check in instructions, they use an App that I don't have or use. Once we cleared that up it took almost an hour from the time I got the the property to figure out their demands to get an expensive deposit made until I could get a code to get into the place. The management company the owner uses for check in is a disaster. Poor customer service, didn't respond to most emails. The place itself is small and basic which is fine....

"Three generations met for a suprise 70h birthday. Chevalier Estate is ideal for this as each family group had their own space but we could get together in the magnificent Dragon Hall. The accomodations are exceptionally well thought out and equipped. "Less IKEA more Sophie Conran" as one daughter observed. "Property was what we expected. Only niggles I’ve got are: Beds in the second bedroom were a little small, I’m 5’11’’ and was too tall for it. There was a constant sound from what could have been a boiler that did keep me up at night. Host was responsive and polite though. Overall good stay. I’d recommend, but for slightly smaller people who don’t mind constant noise."

"The rooms were not ready when we arrived at1:30 but we did get our rooms at 2:45. The lobby was good and the bar was open so no big issue. Staff were very welcoming especially Sharon who went upstairs to see if our rooms were ready. Breakfast in the morning was really good!"

"Fabulous stay at the Swan Hotel. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff are happy to explain things to make sure your stay is a plesant one. A shout out to the young girl who was our breakfast waitress (I think she was called Amberle). She worked tirelessly hard, was very pleasant and even though she was busy she made time to have a chat and give tips about the area! She was always smiling and made sure you were happy! You are all a credit to the Swan Hotel! We ate at the Hotel all 3 nights as the food was excellent ! We will be back in the future!"

"Great hotel, spotlessly clean and great room facilities such as tea tray, ironing board and iron in room. Hairdryer and lovely Crabtree & Evelyn bath products. Slight minus points were tv stations very limited, we did not venture out at night. Saw two guests and their children come down stairs for breakfast in their pyjamas..not hygienic and should have been stopped when guests were waiting to be seated for breakfast. Other than that, really enjoyed the two nights there whilst visiting my son at uni which is just a few miles from this hotel so convenient for me. Would definitely return there. "

"The Lion provided me with exactly what I required. I was meeting some friends I used to work with many years ago. I have never been to Shrewsbury before. The staff were helpful in telling me where to go to meet my friends. The hotel was very nice, great location and a car park! I will hopefully visit again but with my wife next time. Loved Shrewsbury."
