We really enjoyed our stay in this beautifully presented property. A lovely room with comfortable beds and an immaculate en-suite shower room. Excellent breakfast served by friendly staff who were keen please. Everything to a standard we’ve sometimes not had in high class hotels and at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Our stay at the Holly Lodge was exceptional. The staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The room was immaculate, the complimentary tray was unexpected and a added bonus, the room was very well appointed. Breakfast was excellent too. We could not fault our stay and would recommend Holly Lodge to others.

What a find! Easily one of the best B&B's we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. The attention to detail was superb and cleanliness 10/10. Very tastefully decorated and very comfortable. If I had to find any faults the TV reception was rather intermittent (not ideal when trying to catch up on the Olympics).

We stayed in the Holly room and it was beautifully furnished, with a very large bathroom with roll top bath. Very clean, comfortable room with the option to use air con or Dyson fan. Fantastic welcome tray with teas, coffees, hot choc and biscuits. They even provide complimentary wine and coffee machine with pods. The bed was large and very comfy. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurts and pastries plus the cooked breakfast option. Fantastic place to stay, nothing is too much trouble and everything you could possibly need is provided for. The staff were lovely, very friendly and obviously work very hard to make this b and b so special.

We were in Flint, the bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. The bathroom was somewhat small and a little tricky to manoeuvre. Nice smellies and tea/coffee/biscuits/wine/water. Unfortunately we found the breakfast disappointing, rather tasteless I’m afraid.

Thank you for a wonderful stay for our visit to the Thursford Christmas Spectacular which, despite the rain, we were able to walk to from Holly Lodge. Plenty of parking space at the property. Everything was provided for a comfortable night's rest. Accomodation was 'toasty' warm very clean and inviting, breakfast was excellent with a variety of choices. The next day we enjoyed a visit to Holt which has quaint alleyways with interesting and different shops. This was an unexpected bonus.

Wonderful place. Staff superb. Breakfast fresh and tasty. The Juniper cottage was full of thoughtful complimentary items. Extremely clean and pleasant. Shower was beautiful and hot,although the bathroom was a little narrow. My only concern was the floor was freezing! I'm a diabetic and I'd normally put my slippers on at home. Maybe consider putting down a rug to the bathroom door.

We stayed for one night in the Flint accomodation, because we had just spent 3 nights in the Holly bedroom at Holly Lodge which is beautiful...and we wanted an extra night with the weather finally sunny! Unfortunately, the Flint bedroom leaves a lot to be desired. The bedroom & bathroom are very small, but my main complaint is that we could not shower due to the extremely hot water of the shower, also the toilet not flushing correctly. I reported this to the staff who said yes, a lot of people have reported it!! Well I would stop selling the room until you get it sorted.

Very possibly the best B&B we’ve ever experienced! Such a lovely location, great selection of room types either in the main building or in separate cottages, and a Shepherd’s Hut (which we stayed in for 3-nights). Plenty of parking, an EV-charger, lots of privacy as needed. The small touches make the experience perfect. Including (small) bottles of wine, water, biscuits, air conditioning in most rooms (including the Hut), great sized comfortable bed etc. In the Hut we also had a private garden area, sofa, comfortable seating, outdoor chairs and picnic bench, trestle tables, rugs for the lawn, a kitchen area including induction hot plates, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster and plenty of plates, cups, mugs, cookware etc. Breakfast in the morning in the main building conservatory, pre-order the day/night before with selections of a traditional cooked breakfast, toast, porridge, choice of eggs, alongside the usual options of various cereals and pastries with juices, tea & coffee etc. Really friendly staff who attend to your breakfast needs but otherwise it’s self check-in with key boxes (although staff are on attendance for a short while in the afternoon - help lines are detailed in the room welcome packs). Lots to do in the nearby area with the welcome pack listing recommendations for pubs, walks, eateries, shops, places to visit and so on. We had such a lovely break and we’d happily stay again. Cannot recommend enough!
