"This is a quirky older building in the heart of Bryggen so don't expect perfection. The bathroom was new and modern and the bed was comfortable. All of the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. We were there during a sunny, warm week and so spirits were running high on the street and in the bars. "The room was spacious and the bathroom was very nicely done with decorative tile. Overall the hotel has a historic charm. For a hotel this size, would have been nice to have more spaces to lounge other than the dining rooms. We found one little area to hang out with friends and hotel staff was nice to bring extra chairs for us. They provided umbrellas for all of us which was a big plus as it rained quite a bit while we visited. Reception was very friendly. Parking in nearby garage was okay"
