"Good place to stay for a weekend visiting family "

"This hotel was built in 1844 and the spa is on the lowest floor, but it’s comfortable, the pool looks lovely and the jacuzzi is huge. We also liked the steam room, 2 saunas and ice cave with a swirl of cool mist as you walk in. It’s Victorian in feel, lots of tiles but great for what we wanted. Our double standard room with a sea view was spacious and the view spot on. Staff friendly and efficient."

"Good location both for railway station and event venue (luckily climbing the hills should be good for my waistline! Not a criticism, as the hills are unavoidable.). Aside from that, hotel is fine, decent and comfortable - have stayed here before, no doubt will again. "

"The last few stairs on floors 1and2 have no handrail. The rest of the stairs are easy. Lovely people and very enjoyable stay."

"Staff were lovely and very helpful. I am recovering from surgery and use a crutch at present, one member of staff helped me move tables without being prompted."
