"Nice staff, good pool facilities. A bit dated on the dining and bedroom facilities but well maintained. Location is a beautiful view and easy access to beaches and about a 15minute Mediterranean walk to restaurants.
Two issues need addressing: 1) poor wifi that is throttled and denies streaming 2) gym was mediocre and did not have any ventilation…but I was happy to have it! "

"Fabulous accommodation equipped with everything needed for a relaxed stay. Hosts Nick and Manu were very welcoming and available throughout the stay for tips and advice on the local area. The apartment had fabulous views of the sea and countryside, great outdoor seating areas, and a well maintained pool. Taxi’s readily available for trips to Frigiliana and Nerja but would recommend a hire car to collect shopping and explore the surrounding areas. Would highly recommend the Alhambra which is just over an hours drive away in Granada. We’d highly recommend and hope to visit again soon. "

"Rest in a beautiful and cosy place. The villa is wonderful, has all the amenities for a comfortable stay. Special thanks to Samanta for the extra things we needed. The villa has a good location, close to great beaches, beautiful views, Nerja and Frigiliana are our love. It's not the first time we've been here and it won't be the last. I recommend the villa for a holiday, it is not new but very comfortable. Spanish style with a nice pool, terrace and air conditioning. We had a great holiday."
"We had a fantastic stay at villa Cortijo Mar! The location was so peaceful and beautiful,and the villa was equipped with everything you could you need. The hosts were very helpful,and when coming to clean the pool, helpfully provided some pool toys/ a paddling pool for our young daughter which was much appreciated. You couldn't ask for a nicer villa, and the surrounding area has some great places to explore, particularly Frigliana,which is very pretty and has a couple of play areas for little ones."
"This property is in such a beautiful location. It is a little challenging to get there as the roads are very narrow and windy but once you've done it once, it's much easier! If you are hiring a car, I'd advise a smaller one for driving ease!The property is exactly as photographed, and very comfortable. It was very well equipped and we wanted for nothing. The pool and outside areas were spectacular and the view is to die for. It's so well thought out and the view makes the drive worth it!My only small niggle was that we had a man come to collect some paperwork when we arrived, I don't think I had been told about this so it was a bit of a shock. His English wasn't great and I did feel a little apprehensive giving him our details as we weren't actually sure who he wasn't! My only other niggle is that the fridge was quite loud. We had to sleep with the bedroom door open so we could hear the kids and the noise from the fridge woke us up one night it was so clunky! It wasn't noisy all the time though so not a huge bother, but probably an easy fix for the owner.Overall w would absolutely go back and recommend!"
"This pretty old villa is ideally located on the main road between beautiful Frigiliana and bustle Nerja. Ideally located within up hill walking distance to romantic Frigiliana which hosts many lovely restaurants, or an easy 10 min downhill bus ride to Nerja. Having the little bar close by was also very convenient.
