"I have stayed here a few times, in both single and double rooms. The rooms have always been clean with nice toiletries and I have enjoyed a very fulfilling vegan breakfast. It is a busy pub so it can sometimes take longer to be served drinks but the staff I've met are all friendly and I look forward to going back next year. "

The Place To Stay

The George Inn

4.0 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (148)
"A very pleasant village pub, in an interesting and historic village. The room, on the top floor, was spacious, with a decent bathroom. What was lacking in the room was decent lighting: a single, low-powered LED filament bulb was completely inadequate if you wanted to sit and read. Although breakfast choices were very good, service was slow on both mornings. All in all, rather pricey for the accommodation & service provided."

"Overnight stay for a family celebration. We all loved the building and private garden but found the kitchen disappointing. The dishwasher was ineffective, dinner plates too tall to fit, so we had to hand wash dishes & there wasn’t enough washing up liquid. The fridge didn’t have any shelves and we had to stack food on the base, luckily we could chill drinks briefly in the freezer. "
