"A beautiful heritage estate of large proportions and character. The history was fascinating. Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were superb. A beautiful country setting with beautiful views of the river and farmland. Well equipped rooms, with all appliances you could ever need. Rooms were cosy and warm. We loved using the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Highly recommend and I would love to stay here again, given the opportunity."

The cottage is lovely, in a lovely sertting but it is very damp with mould around the windows and mildew on the curtains. "Amazing well equipped spacious chapel. I actually got lost in it when I first entered. We were 6 couples enjoying a birthday celebration and it exceeded all our expectations. Beautiful furnishings with attention to detail. Fully equipped kitchen with a spare kitchen if needed (which you don’t) Heating system worked very well, considering the size of the property too. James was very prompt with a query. A pub and walks on your doorstep everything you could possibly need. Can’t wait to revisit. "

" Whatever I say will not be good enough. We absolutely loved everything about this place. The beds and pillows are so comfy and the linen was impeccable. Its location is sublime. If you like being in the middle of nowhere without a phone signal, superb scenery and walks? then this is the place. We did not want to leave and will definitely be back. Finished to a high standard and impeccably clean you will want for nothing, other than maybe some mirrors upstairs and champagne flutes to continually...

"Nice and spacious for the 6 of us - may feel cramped if full. 3 very good en-suites but a slight problem for bedroom 4 as no easy bathroom access. Wi-Fi good. Would be even better with full TV service and one or two more cooking utensils eg for microwave. May well stay here again"

"Lovely cottage. Secluded spot, very quiet and great views. Very well set up for dogs - great having a fenced field for them to run around safely. Bowls, balls, dog towels, poo bags, etc provided. Very comfy for the humans too!"

"My partner, dog and I enjoyed a lovely 3-night stay at the barn. It's comfortable and has everything you need for a lovely stay. The location is perfect – with plenty of scope for walking and pop visits. Only reason for the 4-star cleaning rating is an unclean grill with bacon smell on arrival (I'm not a fan of meat) – but definitely not a biggie and we'd highly recommend the barn."
