"This property was everything we looked for and more. Our family of 7 went and stayed for the week to celebrate our birthdays. Everyone had their own space as well as areas to come together for dinner and conversation. Even took our dogs who enjoyed their stay as much as we did. We hope to stay here again. "
"This lovely well cared for home is exactly as described and pictured. We enjoyed every moment we spent here. It is perfectly located just off the highway between Carmel and Big Sur. Just far enough tour of town for a tranquil and peaceful stay….Nirvana!The home was exceptionally clean with high quality linens and a well furnished kitchen. The owner checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. There were no issues with the house, everything is in excellent condition but I’m sure if we had needed anything the owner would have taken care of it quickly!Oh and the view from every room was spectacular! "

"This was the most incredible vacation home we’ve stayed in! The ocean views were outstanding. Huge wall to wall windows in the kitchen, living room and family room. Views extended to the bedrooms. Two master bedrooms with huge deep soaking tubs. The house is at the end of a long private road so property is quiet and hidden away from everything. Beautiful tall trees on the property. Beautiful short drive to downtown Carmel. Communication with owners was excellent. Five stars!"

"I loved my stay at Highlands in Carmel!It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. The building was exceptionally clean. While the location is a bit farther than it appears in the photos, it still offers the most stunning views of both the ocean and the forest, and it's situated in a beautiful area.I especially appreciated that the windows didn’t have curtains—you could enjoy the breathtaking scenery at all times. Each bedroom had its own private bathroom, which was a great convenience.We stayed here to bike the 17-Mile Drive, and the location was perfect for that.Working with Vrbo was also a great experience—communication was smooth and easy throughout the process.I would absolutely stay here again!"

"My fiance and I rented this property for our wedding weekend. It was beautiful. Truly perfect. I am absolutely amazed by this place, the owners, and Sanctuary who manages the property. We made a lifetime worth of memories and absolutely loved our stay and hope the property will be available for rental in the future. If you’re interested in visiting Carmel, this is the place to stay. Honestly… a month would’ve been better. We only stayed about 4 days and it wasn’t enough. The details and artwork are GORGEOUS. I honestly might be willing to give my first born to be here once a year. If you’re the owner or sanctuary rentals- y'all are really doing god’s work. Thank you for making our weekend so special. "
